I thought I would take the time to post a testimonial from one of my existing clients, Helen, and how she has made significant improvements since working with me. As of April 2012 she is now size 10 and 30 lbs lighter!
My story so far…
Following an operation on my foot at the end of 2010, I joined a gym in May 2011 feeling a little apprehensive. I was worried about pushing myself too much and impacting on a full recovery.
After a little research I contacted Dan because he specialises in sports injuries and rehabilitation. In early August I met with him for a free assessment. The assessment took 90 minutes. Dan weighed and measured me and I undertook a variety of exercises that tested my abilities and stamina.
I was asked to consider my goals and to explain my motivations for working with a personal trainer.
Dan ran through the different options that he could offer and I decided to sign up to a six week programme of exercise. I met him weekly for about an hour and the time was spent focusing on core body exercises. Dan also advised me on exercises to do on my own and when I went away on holiday for a week in early September. Within 3 weeks I noticed a change in my body shape.
At the end of the 6 week programme I completed another assessment with Dan. I was amazed that in such a short period how my stamina and abilities had improved. We discussed again the options available going forward. I had no hesitations in agreeing to an annual training programme as Dan is brilliant! He is encouraging, supportive and fun to work with. He explains the benefits of each exercise and ensures my technique is correct. Every session is interesting and enjoyable as he is always finding new exercises to challenge me.
At one of our sessions I proudly showed Dan a dress tag as proof that I am now a size 12. I have dropped 2 dress sizes and lost 10kg (22lbs) within 12 weeks.
By making this investment in myself, I believe I am in the best shape of my life. By the way I am 56!
