Oxford half marathon 2016 - Thank you Dan

We trained with personal trainer Dan Buda with a specific target in mind, the Oxford Half Marathon! It seemed a long shot as none of us had done more than 5k before and the race was only ten weeks away. Dan designed a training programme that was tough but fun. After lots of core training, intervals and hill training, we all completed the run, had a fantastic day and felt a real sense of achievement. He has achieved the impossible and turned us into runners, so thanks Dan you are the best!

Brilliant personal trainer

Dan has literally changed my body shape. I have never been fitter or stronger and am now totally convinced there is no reason to go into middle age looking any worse than you did when you were 20. Dan is a kind, caring, inspirational trainer who makes me work hard and also keeps me thinking about the progress we have made over the past few months so keeps me on the straight and narrow. Dan has contributed massively to my health and fitness and I am forever indebted to him for showing me how to stay strong, fit, healthy not to mention slimmer as the years go on!

I first met Dan in his Bootcamp classes in Oxford and completed a set of personal trainer sessions with him. Through his carefully selected exercises using free-weights and bodyweight, and HIIT style routines, I not only lost weight and toned up, but developed an enjoyment for exercise. He is very knowledgable, patient with a lovely gentle manner and humour, and knows what it takes to get the physique you are hoping for. I can highly recommend him.

A Lot of Fun

I first met Dan at one of his boot camp sessions , I enjoyed them so much I decided that I wanted Dan to be my personal trainer. Our sessions are varied and demanding. He is great at encouraging and motivating me, but isn’t a loud in your face type of trainer. Since using Dan I have lost weight, toned up, and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in. Oh, and also running 10k and half marathons faster than ever before.

Life changing experience

At the end of the 6 week programme I completed another assessment with Dan. I was amazed that in such a short period how my stamina and abilities had improved. We discussed again the options available going forward. I had no hesitations in agreeing to an annual training programme as Dan is brilliant! He is encouraging, supportive and fun to work with. He explains the benefits of each exercise and ensures my technique is correct. Every session is interesting and enjoyable as he is always finding new exercises to challenge me.
